There was a moment when I realized the thing I've been building wasn't the thing I was meant to build.

I spent 17 years in traditional radio, and even years after stepping away from it, the pull of sound never left me. It just evolved. Through podcasting, media education, and building Podcast to Inspire, I kept finding my way back to the same question: what would it look like to create something truly intentional? Something built around care, connection, and community, not just content?

Sistahs Connect Radio is my answer to that question. I believe sound is powerful. Music has always been the thing I come back to. It's healed me, moved me, reminded me who I am. And storytelling is how we find each other. This station is where both of those things live, in a space built specifically for women like us. I created this station to keep myself feeling affirmed throughout my day, and I knew I wasn't alone in that need. That's why I created Words for the Soul, a special feature designed to meet you exactly where you are, with the message you didn't know you needed.
