The goal of Sistahs Connect is to empower, enlighten, and encourage women of color to see the beauty in what a loyal friendship can bring. The podcast emphasizes how nurturing and expanding a positive circle of sister-friends can have lifelong benefits. Hosted by Kimberly Sumpter, the podcast highlights interviews with close, personal friends she genuinely admires. These amazing women have inspired Kimberly throughout her professional and personal life's journeys. The Sistahs Connect podcast received over 1,500 downloads within the first ten episodes. It has listeners across the United States, United Kingdom, Barbados, South Africa, Puerto Rico, and France.

Kimberly Sumpter: Host & Producer

Kimberly Sumpter had a 17-year career in the radio broadcasting industry.She started her career as an intern at 97.9 The Box in Houston. She later became a promotions director at KIIZ-FM in Killeen, Texas, while hosting the #1 rated midday show in Central Texas for over two years. Making her move from the 141st market to the 5th largest market in the country, Kimberly joined KRNB-FM 105.7 in Dallas as an on-air announcer. She later worked as a news & traffic reporter and assistant promotions director at Dallas sister stations 94.5 KSOUL and 97.9 The Beat. Kimberly serves as the host and producer of the Sistahs Connect podcast. She’s a Community Business Academy instructor for Rising Tide Capital, a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming lives and communities through entrepreneurship. Kimberly is also the owner of the Wax Kandy Candle Co.

Bethany Hawkins: Content Creator

Bethany creates our fabulous show notes that helps to keep you connected to our amazing guests. After 18 years of working in the criminal justice field, Bethany Hawkins wanted to work in an environment where people uplifted one another After 12 years of ignoring the call to create her own business, she answered it in 2019! The clients that ignite her passion are inspirational entrepreneurial women who are trying to make the world better, one conversation at a time! De’Nita Moss is the creator of TrinityScribes, a scribing service that makes live-streaming broadcasts seamless for the broadcasters and their audiences.
